Thought leadership editing and proofreading
It is crucial to global consulting firm EY that its thought leadership content reflects its business leadership, knowledge and brand values. Hence, content must be consistent in style and tone with the firm’s corporate voice and also importantly, be free of typographical, grammatical and punctuation errors that could damage its reputation.
What did we do?
Proof Communications worked with EY’s Sydney office on the firm’s thought leadership articles, which cover analysis of economic, business and social matters of interest to EY’s clients in Asia Pacific.
We edited the draft articles to ensure that the ‘voice’ of the content was consistent throughout with EY’s house style. We carefully reviewed the content to ensure that all terms, bullet points and headings were presented consistently. As well, we edited the content to delete superfluous words, and restructured sentences and paragraphs to improve the flow. It was important to do this without changing the authors’ meaning, data or interpretation.
Lastly, we proofread the final draft versions to ensure the content was word perfect.
Outcomes
Our expert editing ensured that EY’s content represented the firm’s values and that its partners’ expert insights were shared clearly and succinctly in an informative format.

Industry report proofreading
After months of preparation, it is only appropriate that global consulting firm KPMG’s banking and finance industry reports are accurate in terms of English language punctuation, spelling and grammar and are consistent in their presentation of terms and data.

We identified inconsistencies and typographical errors, as well as grammatical and punctuation mistakes, which would have impacted the meaning and interpretation of the content, potentially leading to red faces.

Thought leadership copywriting, editing and proofreading
Fragomen is one of the world’s largest immigration law firms with offices worldwide. Its knowledge and expertise is widely shared via the firm’s thought leadership content, which is regularly published online and distributed via local e-newsletters.
What did we do?
We were engaged to copywrite regular thought leadership content for the firm’s practice leaders throughout Asia Pacific. Following the review of the drafts by the firm’s regional practice leaders, many of whom do not have English as their first language, we undertook editing and proofreading of the content.
We incorporated changes proposed by the leaders whilst ensuring that the content was correct in terms of UK English, flowed seamlessly and was interesting and informative for the firm’s clients.
Outcomes
As a result of our copywriting, editing and proofreading, Fragomen’s thought leadership content was free of errors and presented informative, appealing content that demonstrated Fragomen’s expertise as an immigration law firm.
